Behavioral Disorders

San Juan Capestrano Hospital offers a comprehensive, leading treatment program for behavioral disorders in San Juan and other locations throughout Puerto Rico. We provide a full continuum of care including detox, inpatient, and outpatient services for adolescents, adults and seniors.

Understanding Behavioral Disorders

Behavioral disorders are mental health conditions that have the potential to cause a significant amount of problems in an adolescent’s or adult’s life, as well as disruption in the lives of those around him or her. Those struggling with behavioral problems often display extended patterns of aggression, act disobediently towards authority figures, and cause disturbances in many different settings. The inappropriate behavior associated with these types of disorders will result in a number of negative consequences in most, if not all, areas of a person’s life. San Juan Capestrano Hospital offers adolescents, adults, and older adults specialized treatment options in a secure inpatient setting which is designed to treat a number of mental health issues and behavioral health concerns. Our highly qualified treatment staff will complete a thorough assessment and treatment plan, which will identify each client’s specific needs and lay out the course of treatment throughout his or her inpatient stay. In order to meet the varying needs of those suffering from a multitude of mental health conditions, including behavioral health disorders, we provide various levels of care, with separate adult and adolescent inpatient programs. Furthermore, each program contains a number of therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities.
